Education for all

The Ghulam Muhammad-Arshad Nasir Grammar School (GMANGS) is a momentous initiative by the Message Welfare Trust (MWT) under its project, “Education for all”, to cater children, majority of whom come from low socio-economic background, with quality education and personality grooming. Born on the 5th of May 2008, the English medium school enrolled its first twenty five students in the first days of its operation. We, at GMANGS, believe that only wholesome education can bring about a revolution in the society, with which its members can contribute more towards the society’s growth and uplift.

Our Story

The Ghulam Muhammad-Arshad Nasir Grammar School (GMANGS) is a momentous initiative by the Message Welfare Trust (MWT) under its project, “Education for all”, to cater children, majority of whom come from low socio-economic background, with quality education and personality grooming. Born on the 5th of May 2008, the English medium school enrolled its first twenty five students in the first days of its operation. We, at GMANGS, believe that only wholesome education can bring about a revolution in the society, with which its members can contribute more towards the society’s growth and uplift.

Although we had limited resources to start with, and yes starting from the scratch was not that easy, but our firm belief in the cause and our conviction to bring about a change bore fruits to our efforts. The seed that was borne six years ago has now grown into an enormous tree with its branches spread in all directions and still growing every day.

VISION, MISSION AND VALUES:

Vision:

To dress up every child with the uniform of education so that he/she can generate a positive impact in the society.

Mission:

To make GMAN Grammar School a leading institute that provides quality education to under-privileged children.

Values:

  • Quality education
  • Consistent learning
  • Character building, to develop good citizens in our society.

TODAY

GMANGS commenced its 8th academic year on the 10th of April 2015, with an increase in the number of students enrolled to approximately six times the initial strength! Currently, the school provides educational services to about 150 deserving students till the eighth grade!

Every day from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, the school finds itself busy enlightening students from class 1 to class 3; and from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm, class 4 to class 8. To ensure uninterrupted studies for the children at our school, we have facilities like electricity generators and U.P.S. to counter the increasing power failures due to load-shedding.

The students at GMANGS belong to the families from diverse income groups. The money (Members’ fund) generated from the members’ of Message Welfare Trust are utilized in paying the teachers and addressing other needs of the institution. We maintain a strict regulation on where our funds are being spent and observe a policy of transparency in this aspect. In fact, we encourage people to come visit us and see that their money is being spent in the correct manner.

The standard Oxford, Punjab Text Book Board and Javaid Publishers syllabus marks the course outline for the students. Here at GMANGS, we make sure that the students and teachers both utilize their time effectively. Hence we chalk out the school curriculum for every class with the teachers on a weekly basis. We promote personality development of students and let them explore their talent by actively organizing a variety of extracurricular activities.
